Paphitis (as shitty as some of his opinions are) atleast realises there are people with different opinions to his and is open to debate.
Perhaps some time away from CF will give you more time to spend with your grandchild.
Correction. I keep telling you you are NOT a Cypriot not because you live overseas but because , just as Zan says , you also proclaim that your motherland is Turkey. Ant Cypriots who have motherlands any nation other that Cyprus , which they claim to be their island , then they are not Cypriots , its common sense , an Italian who calls France his motherland is obviously French and visa verse.
Umit , I dont obviously expect anyone to have read even 1% of my posts , but let me assure you that I have challenged on many occasions the wisdom of flying a foreign flag or singing a foreign national anthem. The core of our problem is that we are not being truthful to our identity which clearly is that of a Cypriot. Our new generations must be brought up being proud of being Cypriots and not brainwashed into becoming Greeks or Turks. I have never advocated that I'm not a G/C but have always underlined that I'm a Cypriot first and foremost . The Greek and Turkish flags are partly responsible for most of the conflict , most of the killing , lives have been wasted because of these two cancerous emblems that represent foreign countries. You must understand my feelings too as a Cypriot that considers you and all other Cypriots as my compatriots . The moment you adopt a foreign country as your motherland which clearly isn't mine then I'm quite correct in calling you a foreigner . For god sake we are Cypriots just as the Spanish , the French the Maltese are nationals of their respective countries.
The demotion of the two foreign flags in our country will do a great deal to promote social bonding between our people , lets face it what separates our people is mostly Greece and Turkey , what a bloody shame !!
What would you call all the Cypriots that sing the Greek National anthem then? The Cypriots that are having a very hard time lowering the Greek Flag ? The situation in Cyprus is not as clear cut as you like to portray it Miltiades, I believe that your intentions are honorable but you cannot go around branding people like cattle.
