In that case they would both get my vote ... no GC should be wasting their efforts fighting for you ... you have 80 Million people to back you up!

Where can the GCs turn to for help in sorting this mess you brought to our land ...

Listen spawn of the Turk ... you have no earthly rights to make any demands on the GCs ... it is by our humanity you are still here ... if we were more like you and your people, we would have no Cyprus problem today.

Shall we become more Turk-like and less Greek-like and eradicate you from our soils as you have done to countless minorities? Be grateful Turkish invader we are Human first and treat you with more respect than you have shown any other nation that has had the misfortune of having you in their midst.

You have no Islands ... you came from a landlocked interior ... without a civilised culture, merely destroying all in your path. We cling on against your numerical might, and you have the audacity to claim our Island as yours whilst holding only half of it against all Laws and Rights?

bill cobbett wrote:My dear Miltiades and with Sunday afternoon greetings from the other side of the River....

Whilst I acknowledge your commitment to a solution and to your unbeatable patriotism and to your obviously exceptionally heart-felt desire for a solution based on peace and prosperity for all Cypriots in a re-united Island and you have posted many, many times with this desire, being consistent throughout and imo you are of course to be applauded for this general ambition, one which I am sure is shared by many, many here, I do remain unsure as to your views, your approach, on a number of more substantive and specific issues that will go on to form the foundation of the equitable solution that so many here strive for, including your good self.

For instance and here I also note your oft-posted commitment to the New Europe, how do you square a BBF solution to the laws of the same EU regarding freedom of movement and right to enjoy one's property?

On other matters of substance I would ask where you stand on matters of security and territorial adjustments. What level of Turkish Army (if any at all of course) should remain post-solution and whether any notion of Guarantor-ship from outside Europe is acceptable to you? What level of territorial adjustment do you wish to see in the BBF?

These more substantive things have been discussed in other threads in recent days by members, including P, but where do you stand on them? I do not think discussions on these should be ignored or left to negotiators alone. It may also make the voting of those members who wish to take part in this poll be a little better informed.

Excellent post young Cobbett

I too will not be casting a vote until these questions are answered

Richard I think I have answered the question regarding the size of the Turkish army , and also the question of guarantees. I clearly said that Turkey would not be acceptable as a legal guarantor of Cyprus' s independence and territorial integrity and stated clearly that the best option would be from impartial powers such as the EU and or combined with the UN.
In answer to Oracles highlighted suggestion that I'm in favour of war let me ask her to use her brain and read carefully what I said .

Territorial adjustments would be negotiated once an agerement is reached and a unified Cyprus with one identity , one nationality and one International persona emerges.

Death  smells the blood of a Plonker up for eviction by a trial of the other Plonkers...ha...ha..huh..ha...

Lets sees what the BOOK OF THE DEAD  says for the future of these two unfortunates from Paphos.

Miltiades - don't count your bottles of wine until they've been bottled (huh?) and Paphitis - beware of another rigged poll run by the Plonker Miltiades ...ha....ha...huh...ha... etc etc

Death  must away now but will return in seven days to carry off the losing plonker, kicking and screaming, to the Hades of the Games section ...ha....ha...huh...ha... etc etc
