There is no excuse now, the offer was a fair one and it was rejected and the government has won another PR battle. Yes but what about the 100s of other talented players who may not be fortunate enough to play professional footbal in Turkey, but may be able to ply their trade in the Cypriot First Division. They are going to miss out.

OK by us, as you are no doubt aware we are closer to Turkey than we have ever been with GCs.

There should have been an entirely new soccer federation eastablished, rather than trying to get the T/C clubs and their federation to join the existing one. There would have been a better chance for T/C acceptance under that option, IHMO

Just as is this case with the "RoC" no TCs want to return to it as it does not belong to them nor do they feel part of it. A new united Cyprus has to be formed.
