TC FOOTBALL FEDERATION REFUSES MEMBERSHIP TO CFA

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby DT. » Sun Sep 21, 2008 8:23 am

The decision does show one thing. 100's of potentially talented footballers will never be able to prove their talent because Turkey wants to play political games. There is no excuse now, the offer was a fair one and it was rejected and the government has won another PR battle. Next time we cancel another friendly and the tc's start complaining you'll be reminded of this offer that was turned down.

BTW halil, I hate to say I told you so on this one, but I told you so.

The talented TC players when spotted are offered positions in Turkish teams, so its really your loss as good players will always find a way of utilizing their talent abroad.

Yes but what about the 100s of other talented players who may not be fortunate enough to play professional footbal in Turkey, but may be able to ply their trade in the Cypriot First Division. They are going to miss out.

And I am not saying that the Turkish First Division is better than the Cypriot First Division, because we have proven that we are better as we whooped your arses in the Champions League. Remember Transonspor?

You've got to be kidding me! First you'd have to find one that could possibly make the national team, and then worry about them scoring own goals!

Our good players have the opportunity to play in Turkey you GCs lose this potential and the ones that you did manage to lure to the south all came crying back saying how badly they were treated.

Let them play in Turkey where they belong...

OK by us, as you are no doubt aware we are closer to Turkey than we have ever been with GCs.

There should have been an entirely new soccer federation eastablished, rather than trying to get the T/C clubs and their federation to join the existing one. There would have been a better chance for T/C acceptance under that option, IHMO

Just as is this case with the "RoC" no TCs want to return to it as it does not belong to them nor do they feel part of it. A new united Cyprus has to be formed.
