It's ironic in a way. Pakistan was created as a Muslim homeland from the former British India. Israel was created as a Jewish homeland from the former Britsh Palestine Mandate. Those countries have a lot in common, yet, Pakistan hates Israel with a passion. Cyprus was supposed to be a middle road: a country that could have a peaceful existence between Greek and Turk peoples. Look what resulted from that...

Cyprus did not come into existence to satisfy some political aspirations.

Cyprus and its native population has been around long before these divisive religions were formulated ....

It is not all up to distrust utu......There is a solution that is fair to all and that is self determination for both sides.....The option of just giving into the result of a fait accompli by the GCs is not a solution. Distrust should not play a part in it if the ground is set for a fair solution...Contracts can stop that...The distrust comes when we are asked to give up our rights under the gaze of hostile Greeks holding our constitution in their hands with blood dripping off it.....Teat it up and bury it deep but we have to find an alternative and we have to both have full involvement in the new one. Why should we be sidelined...
