Book shops in Nicosia?

Postby ttoli » Wed Sep 17, 2008 6:57 pm

Hi
I like to look at both sides of the coin and have been recommended two books;

1) Ya Tous Koufous The Cyprus Crisis 1963-1964, 1967 and 1974 by Malachi Antal and

2)Echoes from the Dead Zone (Across the Cyprus Divide) by Yiannis Papadakis.
Has anyone read them, any idea where I can get them aside from Amazon.com?, will try the bookshop in the Mall of Cyprus

Thanks

Go to http://www.cytayellowpages.com.cy/ and look for bookshops, then you can call them and ask if they have them.

No need to be facetious. I recently went to the largest book shop in Limassol in the hope of placing an order for a book whose ISBN number I was able to quote and they did not want to know. Finding a particular book is not always that easy, as your recent attempt to track down a controversial book in the Turkish Cypriot part of Nicosia proves.

I think ttoli is asking whether the books he has mentioned are useful, as well as where he can find them.

Agreed. It was a bit flippant of me. It was my way of acknowledging the resourcefulness of the forum. Sorry. :oops:

^Tim, do you know how difficult it is to live up to such a 'reputation. I am not deserving of any such epithet. I lost my halo to Oracle months ago btw. :lol:

denizaksulu,

Any periptero should have them and also supermarkets.

Or you could go to the cytayellowpages website and look them up and then call to see if they have any!

(just to continue being helpful)
