The above site URL was publicized on the ATCA website. If the information contained within it is true, then direct flights to the northern Administration's principal airport of Tymbou/Ercan from the United Kingdom will be starting soon. Furthermore, this is being done with the consent of the RoCy government. If this is true, then this is an incredible concession made by President Kristofas. Does anyone on this forum know more about this?

I flew to Ercan on a direct flight from Stansted airport. We thought that it would land at Antalya, but never did. No I did not fall asleep. I know it was not official, but it had been like that for a while.

IT WAS NON-STOP!
Bet I can tell you what day the flight was, is now a regular occurance, why waste fuel landing/taking off again if all pax are bound for Ercan?.

Of that, I have no doubt. Good economy, I dare say.

There will still be no Dircte Flights!! All flight plans and flights are via Ankara FIR. All flights are recorded as illegal, the second they enter Nicosia FIR!!
And your point is????, Bearing in mind(as you love reminding us)that TRNC isn't recognised by anyone other than Turkey, how the F do they impose a ban on diresct flights into an airport that doesnt exist??   .Tell you what, give us recognition, then you can ban direct flights to Ercan, I think that that is fair enough

The flights are just a matter of Insurance. Confusion stops the insurance companies covering flights to Ercan. Planes that have no passengers to drop off in Turkey can just fly over Turkey and whilst in the air obtain a new flight number and insurance cover from Turkey and continue on its way.

That solved that queery then. Thanks Zan.

Quite frankly. I don't care as I know that you are aware of the answer, so there is no need to waste my time.

Deniz,

you win. I do not have the time or inclination to waste my time with your 34 year dreams of direct flights.

See ya

Change of direction. You have had your arm twisted behind your back to sit down and have meaningful talks.

Thats news to me.

There will still be a referendum, and we will not be voting for anything.

The people have their democratic rights.

The solution you seek is unwanted by the majority of GCs.

THESE TALKS ARE A WASTE OF TIME AND TAX PAYERS MONEY.
