The Riverside Holiday Village Hotel in Karavas (aka "Alsancak") seems to bear a remarkable resemblance to number 50 on this list of dodgy hotels:-

Anyone know who the real owners are?
Im sure tht the Zephyros hotel's real owner is Mr Paraskevaides, of JP Construction....He home village is Lapithos

People are so desperate to sell in the north that they will lie in your face by telling you a place is pre-1974 Turkish title when it isn't. The only way to be 100% sure is by comparing the Tapu records with those of the RoC Land Registry and having a full search carried out at both offices - and then having your ownership certified and notarised by the RoC authorities.

Also the Tapu no longer specifies which type of title a property has, referring to them all as "Turkish" which is of course nonsense in about 80% of cases.

tsk tsk wyo - you didn't like my humourous side? cow / jackass hehe
I don't trust people like you as far as I can throw you. As Bill said, nothing is over until it is over. Same to be said for GCs with property in the north and TCs with property in the south.
Solution for me is best for my pocket book. I'd give up my title in the south in a heart beat to secure long term peace, prosperity and opportunity for my children.
