EOKA...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

EOKA were the Greek Cypriot equivilant of Sinn Fein/I.R.A. & Z.A.N.U.-P.F. - scum of the earth who deserve nothing less than being put to death, along with the Turkish Cypriot equivilant of EOKA!

Aidan.

You absolutely have no idea what the hell you are talking about. The IRA are not scum of this earth, and neither were EOKA.

You on the other hand have proven to be the biggest dick head on this forum. But hey, you are a Kiwi after all, and you do have an insatiable appetite for sheep!

Were EOKA a bunch of terrorist thugs..? Or were they heroes that need to be looked up to..?

I have brought this subject up on many occasions over the past 20 years with various GC's. I have been told that the majority of Cypriots disagreed with EOKA and their methods but were afraid to speak out against them for fear of their lives and that of their families.

I quote one as saying...."We did not know who was or who was not a member of EOKA so we had to watch what we said out loud for fear of a bomb being planted in our gardens.."

Quite a few have also said they wish Cyprus was still a British colony.

No doubt your comments will be interesting......

Do you not look up to Evagoras Pallikaridis?

I am really looking forward to your answer.

The communists were against EOKA from day one.
EOKA , were a handful of committed fighters numbering about 300 men and supported by the political wing PEKA
and the youth movement ANE .
Their goal was the liberation of Cyprus from British rule and Union with Greece .
They were a well disciplined group and morally respectable. The nonsense talked about shooting people in the back are just that. One or two victims ONLY .

Kudos to you Miltiades, because you have just made inroads to your redemption! At long last I find a post in which I agree with you 100%.

I think you are just beginning to understand what Miltiades stands for and always stood for .
None of my views have changed , I stand by every single word that I posted on this forum on many subjects.

Paphitis,
You really ARE dumb! Sinn Fein/I.R.A. ARE subhuman scum of the earth who deserve nothing less than the Nicolae Ceaucescu treatment (being put up against a wall & shot) anyway! EOKA definitely deserved the same thing anyway!

As for your stupid remark about New Zealanders,it goes to prove what a malakas you really are!

I have had many a contact with the IRA and their supporters in the past Aiden. I would not class them as subhuman, but I will say they were amongst the most ruthless, aggresive people I have ever come up against.
