Anglo! Learn the rules and the laws! Do not just throw empty slogans all the time. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING can be done with RoC consent. I know it is very sad for you, but it’s the reality!

Thats probably what greece was saying about macedonia before
it was recognised

That is a totally different case, absolutely unrelated with the issue of TRNC recognition or direct frights. I do not even want to spent time and explain the difference. You either know what we are talking about or you do not! I let it to someone else to explain the difference.

P.S. As a matter of fact, Macedonia's name (i.e. Republic of Macedonia instead of FYROM) was not recognised officially by the U.N. or the E.U. and it will not be recognised so. Only the U.S. and some other states recognised it. Never the less, in the case of FYROM’s name, there is no international legislation on the matter. It is purely a political issue. In the case of “TRNC” there is a hell a lot of international legislation both at a U.N. and an E.U. level against it.

Dear Kifeas,

i feel that you fail to understand that cyprus is a political issue and will be solved in such a way, when the next referandum appears(and it will) you vote 'oxi' and watch how all that legislation you like to talk about go out the window but thats my humble opinion.

Regards Brother

really unless china and russia on the security council change there minds(which most likely wont since russia has ties and china has tawian issue)and if greece and cyprus who are IN THE EU LOSE there minds you can have 150 referandums and nothing will change brother.

brother,

FYROM is not recognized as Macedonia by the EU. The Greek administration is actually being surprisingly diplomatic with this situation as they have even proposed an alternative name that was suitable according to the UN, only to have Fyrom reject it. I'm not sure where this is going to go but I feel like an EU veto coming along if/when they decide to apply to the EU.

I'll take your word for it, this is not a strong topic for me but i like the european approach by Greece who is looking to resolve rather than hinder them.
