But then I am a Greek Cypriot.

First of all before we blame others we must blame our self first .
forget about colonial time for a while ....we had troubles before 60 some how we did get chance to have independent Cyprus and we did have it only for years .... where were we that time ? God gave us brain Magnus ...We must use it for right things .... what happened ?
Turkey ,Greece or UK was giving guns for us to kill each other ....No , no magnus .... it wasn't like that ..... u know who wanted what and what was his and his friends idea .... how they get the power to do such a things from public Magnus.... Without public support they were just Makarios and Grivas .

what for they were getting those tanks ? Cyprus was under the guarantees of the UK,Turkey and Greece .... 3 of them were NATO members....

1. Greeks have never ruled Cyprus...Just about everyone else has. i was being polite and not mentioning the Ottomans so i said we Cypriots and we were but two distinct people. 1960 gave us our first republic EVER!!!!


2. The TCs helped EOKA/Makarios gain independence by preventing ENOSIS with Greece because if that had been achieved it we would not have had self determination but would have been slaves to Greece. we saved them from themselves.
