Turkish Generals arrived CY from L/ca airport

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Ok, lets say that this is the reason why, which I beleive it isn't. I believe there's something else behind it.

What about the turkish state, media and public opinion?
I've checked and I found no article regarding this issue from any turkish media site. Why? What are they afraid to make it known to the public?
The turksih government doesn't recognise CyR, yet, but they send 2 of their generals in Cy through Larnaca airport. Now on their passports have a Cy visa, for me this is official recognition....which actually comes from turkish generals first.

Is Ozkiok aware of that? :D

Some American officials will fly to Ercan directly from US. Does this mean "official recognition" too Rafaella?

Come on you have to admit, American officials flying directly to 'TRNC' is not as much as a shock as two Turkish generals flying into and being greeted by officials from a government who's land they are occupying. Also, the Turkish military has outspokenly been against pulling out of north Cyprus, yet these same people are walking around Cyprus and no one is making a big thing out of it. It's like bin Laden walking around Manhattan or something.

America has never been a good friend to Cyprus and it does not surprise me that these two American officials are flying directly to north Cyprus...since when did the American government stick to international law are have any morals?

but Turkcyp...ACT LIKE YA KNOW....two Turkish generals flying directly into Cyprus means that they must be ready to recognise RoC in the near future. I know of a Turkish journalist flying to RoC recenetly (via Syria I think) but that is a completely different matter. You have to admit, if all this is true...then there is something cooking behind the scenes.

Turkcyp let her believe in what she wants to believe. It seems she has created a very little world of herself with the rules she created.

What you say and what Rafaella claims are totally different subjects. We do not discuss here whether Turkey will recognise RoC or not. What is so sure is that Turkey MUST recognise RoC if she wants to become part of EU. But this will not happen by two Turkish Generals visiting south Cyprus with RoC visas on their passports.

no, this doesnt mean they have officially recognised Cyprus...but its a big step to it, you must admit.

This move has made me surprised by both RoC and Turkey.

I agree that it is a step towards recognition, but in this current situation Republic of Turkey clearly stated that she will not recognise RoC. But as I said before, Turkey well knows that she needs to recognise RoC in the future. Yet, I think they are waiting for a couple of years to see whether the Cyprus problem is solved or not.

Well, you never know what could happen...just as sudden as the borders were opened up in Cyprus with nobody knowing, the same could be done with the recognition of RoC.

It's just very weird that I haven't seen anything int he media on this...and knowing the Cyprus media, they would report something like this.

Agreed

nothing in Cyprus, has ever been predictable, it all seems to happen just like that.

You go to bed and in the morning you wake and there's a whole new situation or development.....

Lets see what _ _ _ _ _ x we get tommorow.

Hmmm

Can't say I agree with that. What you get is almost daily talk of change and then wake up in the morning and nothing has changed.

In the 30 years since 74 there has been the declartion of TRNC, EU entry and opening of the border. Not really a huge amount of political change in 30 years imo ;)
