TC anti-occupation graffiti artists arrested

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Please correct me if i am wrong, but from what i understand from G/C media, the kids were finally charged for damaging public property. If that is correct, then if say i was a T/C and wrote "Turkish occupation forces sod off" on the wall of my own house, would i be let off?!

Unless there has been a major new development that I have not heard about, they were released on bail pending a hearing at which they will be sentenced.
They have been accused of two offences; causing wilful damage and making slanderous statements. The first charge is pretty uncontroversial, but the second one - i.e. the allegation that calling the Turkish army in Cyprus an invading force amounts to slander - is obviously not.

Maybe we can view this as a test case...There is much confusion in many areas in the TRNC and perhaps when these kids are cleared, they will set a president for future cases. that will not necessarily open the flood gates for similar actions from the public because if I were the judge I would make it quite clear that a charge of "inciting violence" would be brought against others if it happens again. They should support the appropriate political party if they want to make a protest.
