OPEN THE GATES INITIATIVE WILL HOLD A DEMONSTRATION DURING LEADERS’ MEETING ON THURSDAY

The Open the Gates Initiative is preparing to hold a peaceful action on Thursday – when the two leaders in Cyprus are to meet - to call for the opening of the Yesilirmak Barricade.

Representatives of the Initiative held a press conference yesterday to announce the outcome of a meeting attended by committees working for the opening of new gates between the two sides.

In a written statement issued during the press conference, the Initiative said that the opening of the Pirgo-Yesilirmak Barricade has gained priority following the opening of the Lokmaci Barricade.

It also described the rejection of Greek Cypriot demands to use the Yesilirmak Gate for religious ceremonies at Ayyas Mamas, as an unpleasant development.

The Initiative called for support to its action which is to be held in South Cyprus.

The action will start at 9.00 in the morning.

Yes ,Zan .

Open the Gates Initiative has got TC and GC members .

They were together opening demonstration for Lokmaci (ledra) and they are acting together to open more gates .

boarders can be removed very easily moh_omari2 , important is how we can remove the boarders between both side peoples . how we can grow up our children .......
from where we can start ..... from schools and Church ......

OPEN THE GATES INITIATIVE has done their demonstration today at entry of the old Nicosia airport.
They have send a letter to Dimitris Christofias and Talat via UN troops at Old Nicosia airport .
They wanted 44 years closed Yesilırmak gate to open very soon .
