i dont care from where (whether limassol or famagusta). I am EU national (not cypriot), and we want to visit Syria and Lebanon with my friends.

so we might take the plane if its safer and better and not much more expensive. but if i understand it right - we shouldnt take the ferry? (we are girls)

As an EU citizen, then you would respect the sovereignty of EU territory by catching your ferry from Limassol and not Famagusta, which is EU territory currently under occupation.
