Selfish! That's what it is!

This really p**ses me off!

It p**ses you off, I walk past 2 houses in the village where I live and I see them hosing down their drives and patios every other night. I am told by the other villagers that they must have their own bore holes and therefore do not have to worry about the water shortage...... Phuckin Criminal
:x :x

.........it is just one bore hole for the whole village though.
So, keep taking water out - no rain water refilling - soon - no water in bore hole - dry bore hole- do they realise this?

They think the water makes its way back to the bore hole so that makes everything OK.
Makes my blood boil to see them doing it

I would like to be a fly on the wall (with a camera) when they do realise!

Months ago I was out for a walk locally and passed a house where a women was hosing down the drive, using vast quantities of water in the process. I did my best to turn and give her a dirty stare as I passed. Our eyes met, and the face of this elderly women, clearly of rural origin, broke into a wide smile and she waved and called out "Yaaa". Gotta love Cypriot hospitality!

Meanwhile, Limassol residents have been suffering from unannounced and unpredictable water cuts as Limassol Water Board has been receiving less quantities of water from the main water authority. In the last week, residents of areas including Omonoia, Neapoli, Kapsalos, Ayios Spyridonas, Halkoutsa and Ayios Athanasios got more water cuts than is stated in the water cuts schedule.

Thanks for the article, Grump. That explains it.

Now explain this. Our mains water has been on continuously for about the past 24 hours, for the most part at high pressure. It is not meant to be on now.

A few spots of rain here. Let's hope it is a sign of bigger things to come.

Have been collecting water from our bedroom A.C unit.

A length of garden hose attached to the units drainage pipe and then into a plastic can has been providing about 4 ltrs of water per night.

Getting water from air is a common system. If you look it up on the net, yahoo it (got fed up with that other verb) and see what comes up
