Turkey to provide Cyprus 75 mln tons of water each year

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Perhaps am a foolish intellectual but how can you have unifcation of a country if you don't allow all citizens their basic freedms of movement and how can you have unification and peace if a third country is refusing to allow all citizens of a countrey to benefit from investments.

We know Turkey is a racist fascist State and now I believe that the Turkish Cypriots are not any different. Personally Iam getting ready for voting rights in Cyprus and I am not going to go to a referendum vote untill all discrimination against the GC's on the Island have been dropped.

Poor soul!!! They have offered water to you as well but because of your racism you have rejected it.....

Gecitkoy is not in Kyrenia; it is between Camlibel (close to Kormakitis) and Lapta (Lepithos). There is currently a small reservoir there. It is in the district that would remain within the TC area under the terms of the Annan Plan and on state/public land going back to British colonial administration.

This project can be both a benefit, and a knife against the throat of Cyprus. If Cyprus cannot have sufficient water, and Turkey ends up being the only source, that gives Turkey power over Cypriot politics. The administration in the north may find water - rather than the presence of military forces - may be harder to ignore, given that any displeasure by Ankara over the northern administration could be clearly shown by 'turning off the tap'. Perhaps both the RoC government (and the northern administration) should start building a lot more desalination plants. Dependency on foreign water supplies is not sound policy...

I am surprised utu. people sharing resources should be seen as a good thing. Desalination plants are not without their faults.

So says the man who wants to steal nearly half a country because he cannot "share".

You keep going on about good will....Well here it is Stella......I know you not to be gracious but everyone needs to drink. Even the Devil herself!!!!

We as neighbors can share...You in the South and us in the TRNC....Unless you want a fair settlement of two states.

Past Myrtou on the Morphou road. I think. Hard to tell with all the new buildings and roads.

Is the water supposed to be coming ashore at Cape Kormakitis?
