For many years now Polish Jews have been trying to reclaim their legally owned property in Poland. Property was taken by force in WW2, following the end of the war many Jews returned to Poland expecting to be re-united with their property. Unfortunately Russia then occupied Poland and kept hold of stolen property and confiscated more property that was inhabited by Jews.
Since the end of Russian occupation some property has been returned but the vast majority including property valued at millions of £s (single dwelling) have not been returned to their legal owners.
I realise there is a simalar situation in Cyprus, and am still at a loss as to why this continues in a supposedly civilised new Europe.
