Fashion and clothes shops

Postby Hazza » Thu May 12, 2005 8:45 pm

I bought 3 pairs of jeans for 3 different shops and some t-shirts. Why is it that the jeans are about a foot too long and the t-shirts are all tight fitting?

I'm 6' tall so I'm not exactly the shortest guy in the world. As for the t-shirts, at 34 years old, I'm no longer as fit as I used to be and it gets a little tiresome walking around holding my stomach in. I prefer to be able to breathe in baggy t-shirts, not straining my stomach muscles.

Anyone else come across this problem or am I just unlucky?

Hi Hazza, :-) I got the impression lately as well, no matter which country, that the given sizes are not what they used to be. Also, depending on brand or shop you might once fit in L, next time in XXL. For trousers - for whatever reason, they are all to long, must be a fashion thing so you can wrap (?) them. :?:

Easiest way to avoid this: try on everything :D

I heard thats its fashionable for jeans to look tatty at the bottom. I don't want to look homeless

well, I'm used to it, being only 160 cm "tall" :-)

re. fashion I would say we past that age where we have to adopt every single new bit.

Hazza mou, why did you buy the tight t-shirts? I can understand the trousers as they can be shortened but your going to have a hard time holding your stomach in all the time!! :?

its a secret deal between fashion designers and gyms!!!they make tighter, smaller clothes so that we r forced to go to the gyms and exercise!!!!hehe...to tell the truth i have the same problem also,i am 1,80cm (not tall and not short, just normal) and i always have to shorten my trousers!!!as for t-shirts,hehe....hopefully from october i will be able to wear the tight ones!!! :D :D :D

Everything is becoming tight and bright...or stupidly baggy.

What like those that wear jeans with half of it slid down to show their underpants, looks stupid to me they might aswell walk around in their pants and forget about the trousers.
