If interlink are supplied the leads, and Interlink are licensed, then how are the lead suppliers "rogues"? They are purely supplying the lead and not involved in the transaction.

Which is exactly what the unlicensed "rogues" do on the whole...

Not strictly true is it?
The proffessional licensed Estate Agent deals with the lead therefore the lead is covered by any underhanded business.

I understand it goes on, but if it is so blatant why is it not stopped.

Most of the "unlicensed" rogues that I know pass the enquiry (after initial qualification directly to the developer and the customer has a direct relationship with them...

The advantage of a "rogue" is that he/she will have intimate local knowledge of the properties available in their area.

I've seen Licensed Estate agents bring clients to Pissouri having never visited the village (or the development they are trying to sell) prior to that visit... Often they are with people that have bought a 'viewing package' and who get put under extreme pressure to buy...

Just trying to put the other side of the picture you understand...

I suppose you could...

But then how about all the overseas agents that introduce clients to developers in Cyprus...? how could they be controlled...?

I have no idea, I find the whole process of buying off plan in Cyprus an absolute minefield.

Do overseas agents have to be licensed to sell property in Cyprus? If not, then surely all the "unlicensed" agents/rogues in Cyprus will just register themselves off shore.

They have to have Cypriot licences, which require: relevant experience, academic qualification and pass an exam which is in Greek or Turkish.
