Executive Lounge Paphos Airport

Postby Rickers » Thu Sep 04, 2008 11:51 am

Hi there, can anyone help ? I'm returning to Limassol in October for our 10th family vacation to Cyprus, and I've finally scraped together the cash to fly Club Europe with British Airways.
I know the Executive Lounge facilities at London Gatwick are open 24 hours, but I'm not certain about the SUNJET Lounge at Paphos.
As our return flight leaves Paphos at 0350 hrs early on a Sunday morning, does anybody know if the lounge at Paphos is opened up at that time, to accomodate passengers travelling in business class ?
Many thanks, Rick

Too true. What was really annoying for us was that we knew the plane hadn't even taken off to get to Paphos when the tour company insisted on taking us to the airport. The downside of going on a package tour. Mind you at a last minute bargain price of £70 per person in a 4 star hotel for a week we weren't in much of a position to complain.

The Lounge a bit limited anyway, but anything is better than sitting in the communial airport lounge! I used to belong to Priority Pass, which, for an annual Fee, allows a number of access to Lounges in airports all over he world.

I now get unlimited Priority Pass FOC with my AMEX platinum card - which is a huge benefit.

I went from Sunjet to Priority then to Plat. Still pay for the bloody things.
As for Paphos lounge I was there on the 27th Aug with 30 Russian delayed travellers. As you can imagine there was nowhere to sit and the place looked like a bomb site.
On a further point, the lounge does not always adhere to the opening times. On three occassions they have been short staffed and the woman who works in the lounge 9-5 also has check in duties, but if you ask nicely she gives you the key.

One further point, as Amex Plat is not accepted everywhere especially in Cyprus.
Try Morgan Stanley Mastercard, Priority Pass free unlimited access to lounges worldwide comes with it for £200 sterling. You must earn over £65,000 to qualify but also recieve concierge free service plus 1% payback on money spent.

Hi Purdey

What do you 'still pay for"? If you have a UK AMEX PLatinum card, you (and a Partner) are both entitled to unlimited Priority Pass cards.

I'll have a look at Morgan Stanley MC, but the last thing my life needs is another 'spending opportunity'!!!!
