Halil, I am merely remarking on your knowledge of the history of the geographic area of northern Cyprus. I feel that I am more suited to talk about the history of Morphou for example just as iceman is more suited to discuss the history of Limassol and you are more suited to discuss your village. Unless one of us is a history scholar which majored on the history of Cyprus why do you assume that a TC should know any better the histoy of that part of the island than a GC?

We did not see you offering your help DT. That would end this discussion. We could all be pen pals and talk about what we know best. Agreed?

Didn't you hear the man Deniz...He says he is not qualified and does not allow those that live there to be either

You saying you know more about the history of Morphou than I do Zan? Or that you know more about the history of Famagusta than Nikitas does?

I didn't offer any help because of it DT but you trying to stop those that do and then secretly offering your help just about says it all......Perhaps you should have even asked what period he wanted to learn about....Perhaps he was just interested in the TRNC from 1983 to 2008

What this person asked was the history of Northern Cyprus in which he accepts are the TC people and TC culture.......I'm encouraged by the fact that he knows this much. 8) 8) 8)

SO his entire knowledge of a land's history is the last 30 years where the population was kicked out and swapped for a different one, a few new names were given to vilages and Bob's Your Uncle...northern Cyprus history!

DOes he not want to know about the Salamis ruins and the Greek kings that put them there? The history of Apostolos Andreas? The history of the Venetian walls? He just needs to know about the last 30 years....Thats a little insecure you might be found out, don't you think Zan?

It is a good idea to find out about the present before finding out about the past so as not to get lost in myth and fantasy as to what does and what does not exist DT......I did not say that he only wanted to find out about a certain period....No one bothered to ask what he wanted...Just the usual twisted views of Greek propaganda and rudeness....

Where was I rude to him or anyone else? And I don't recall him mentioning "trnc" anywhere. He said the history of northern Cyprus.

Yes that is right. And that is why the whole world knows that 37% of The Republic of Cyprus is illegally occupied by Turkey, who then immediately ethnically cleansed 200,000 residents from their homes.

Alainluc should also read all UN Security Council Resolutions on Cyprus which confirms everything I say about the illegal occupation of Cyprus.

AH! A little clarity at last.....Perhaps he should have been commended for his choice of words by you and a little bit of humility from those racist remarkers.....

There is no problem if he wants to learn Turkish! He said that he likes history and states "Northern Cyprus country"!! There is no such country!
I was merely pointing out the obvious, if he wants to learn Turkish - GO TO TURKEY!!

A few days ago I was chatting in Turkish to two Turkish Cypriot youths aged about 14-15 on the old pier beside the Old Port in Limassol. They have both lived in the unoccupied part of Cyprus for about ten years and have no intention of living anywhere else. Let us not forget that Turkish is one of the official languages of Cyprus, and speakers of this language can be found in all parts of the island.

Perhaps our French friend Alainluc is from the Basque Region of France, or might even be a Corsican. That would go a long way to explain on how he sees HISTORY and the Northern Cyprus being another country.!

Or perhaps he is just ignorant of the facts, but I would now say, he is no longer.!

Now that his HISTORY is where it should be regarding Cyprus, he is now ready for his first Turkish lesson.!

I wonder whether he'll be using "French letters" while learning Turkish.!

People are able to travel to Turkey or The Republic of Cyprus, enrol into a Turkish Language Course in order to learn the language.

There is no need to travel to an illegally occupied area in order to learn the language.
