I am here to read but my head is not spinning. It's not a surprise that Turkey will have to bail out the TRNC on the property issue, that's what would have happened under the A-plan as we all know.

I can not seriously see any good will gestures from RoC side to TC side. Not that I expect to see anyway. That was my point actually. I do not expect to see good will from RoC side, and they should not expect to see good will from TC side as well. The only good will both sides shoul provide is to sit down to negotiation table without prejudice. That is all expect from both RoC and TRNC.

the same goes for turkey.the things i mentioned are good things and contrary to your beliefs infuse revenue in the t/c community and would have infused even more for ammohostos and larnaca ports were opened.if things worked out well then the next step might have been direct flights.but since the t/c and turkey will not budge on varhosa we will never really no.

You are wrong Turkcyp. The RoC has approved the 269million euros together with the other 24 member states. It has not blocked it. The money is to be channeled by the same organisation that is used to channel EU money to Kosovo and their office is based in Thessaloniki. This office is due to close at the end of the year, unless TC's accept the money. The TC's will also loose a portion of this money by the end of the year as it will be allocated by the EU for something else. Talat has finally realised that he risks loosing this money by forcing the EU to maintain the link between this money and direct trade. He is now changing his tune and it looks like he will accept the money without insisting on direct trade.

You conveniently also forget to mention the free health care the TC's get, the better wages that they get compared to what they get in the north, the pensions that they will be entitled to from the RoC etc etc. There is good will there Turkcyp but you refuse to accept or acknowledge it.

Oh my god, free health care again....I think this is like the 10th time a GC mentioned free health care in this forum. The only voluntary good thing that the RoC did for TCs and it's being brought up over and over.

This is just a speculation which turned out to be wrong. Feel free to prove me wrong though.

What? Are you living in dream land? Who do you think was going to compensate the GC's under the Annan plan? It was the GC's themselves! Turkey was obliged to pay ZERO regarding the property issue.

First of all, sorry about your relative's wife. Do you know if there was anything special about their case? I mean maybe they had some special treatment that wasn't covered with the free healtcare provided? Do you know any other TCs who got "free healthcare" and got billed afterwards recently? I'll be disgusted if this turns out to be true in large scale.

metecyp Serdar also said today that bills will start to appear, but Im still holding off judgement until its a wide spread thing, maybe these are one off bills which cover something extra. It will soon be clear enough all we have to do it wait, there appears to be many more tricks or pure speculation awating us, god help us all.
