what about the national anthems and flags?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The Cypriot national anthem should be in 3 versions, which would all be official - Cypriot Greek (as opposed to Hellenic Greek),Cypriot Turkish (as opposed to Anatolian Turkish),& English.South Africa's old national anthem was known as 'Die Stem Van Suid-Afrika' in Afrikaans,& 'The Call of South Africa' in English.

The Cypriot national anthem should reflect its distinctiveness, plus its heritage as a British Commonwealth member state.

Aidan.

If the anthem depicts any British Colonial reminders, I will never stand at attention to it, but would vomit!

Did I ever mention that I am of the opinion that Queen Elizabeth should be facing murder charges over the murder of Pallikaridi? :)

Paphitis,
You are being a twat! It is impossible to prosecute a reigning monarch for actions that were committed by a government acting in her name.

For all we know,Pallikaridi was killing young British soldiers, who had wives & children,& got himself caught. If the penalty for what he did attracted the death penalty, then,in my view,he got what he deserved.

Aidan.

Pallikaridi was a legal combatant for the liberation of Cyprus against British occupation.

And there is no proof he killed anyone!

The New and Unfree Cyprus will need to enact a new Bill, which issues warrants for Queen Elizabeth's arrest, the minute the dirty Greek Bitch sets foot on Cyprus! :)

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
