water pipes into the kitchen

This may seem like a strange question but can anyone tell me the diameter of water pipe that is used into a domestic property in Cyprus and are they metal or plastic? Is it the same as UK either 15 mm or 22mm? :?

It may as well be 2mm, for the amount of water that comes out of it half the time! ;)

Hello PT,

15/22mm Plastic is commonly used in new builds and renovations with 'Push Fit', 'Adhesive' and/or 'Compression' joint fittings.
15/22mm Copper and Stainless also crop up with 'Soldered' and 'Compression' joint fittings.

Older properties may contain a mix of lead pipework with wiped solder jointing, galvanised iron pipework with BSP fittings, copper pipework with soldered or compression fittings and early plastic pipework with glued joint fittings, imperial sizes are common.

Most plumbing stuff is readily available in Cyprus at a reasonable cost.

Regards

Blimey PT,
Ex-pat developments! thought you might be a more of a swashbuckling adventurer after your plumbing questions :o
Release your sole and look further afield than developments aimed at the ex-pat community, you may end up enjoying life a whole lot more and saving yourself a bundle of cash at the same time :P

Good Luck with the house hunting as well as the plumbing
