How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I feel that I must defend Halil here. He never threatened Oracle with a crack team of Turkish SAS. His response to her post about bombing Ankara and Istanbul was no threat but rather a sound and friendly warning. People would like to think that they're anonymous on the Internet, but they're not. Others are listening and they pick up certain words and phrases. Some things written on a forum could very well attract the attention of some countries' information gathering mechanisms. And God knows what they do with the information they collect.

I think it's safe to say that Oracle has no reason to worry about Turkish SAS... or CIA or anybody else for that matter. But in these days of the war on terrorism you never know who is listening and keeping track on the information flow. If you say things that can be misinterpreted it's only fair to assume that you can find yourself in a position of attracting heat from certain organisations.

So Halil's advice was no threat but rather a reminder that once should think twice before typing certain words. Because you never know who is listening and how those words will be interpreted and acted upon.

I really do not think that such faceless and innocent comments, used in the context that it was, will definately not create any interest amongst anyone. Serious threats would not be made on a public forum.

No idea. He has made one or two pointless posts not too long ago, but have since gone away when he was not responded to. There was a time, when Expatkiwi and utu would post almost in tandem, but utu has been going solo lately.!

For heavens sake! The comment was not made in a terrorist context.

It had more to do with military bombings by nations with tongue in cheek. I do not know why I bother.

This is another stupid attempt in trying to silence the voice of people by instilling irrational fear. Please grow up!!

On that note, I am going outside to see if there is anyone hideing in the bushes.

agios Ionas, yes there will be true Tc's left there's VP and VP and VP and VP and halil :) sorry boys I couldn't resist.

Most of you will disagree, but Halil is the MOST misunderstood person on this Forum. He is a true Cypriot/TC.IMHO. So many of you are so wrong. :?

Is that before or after he threatens other members with a crack team of Turkish SAS? :?

Re Bafidis, you have lost or never had a sense of humour.

I dont know Eric dayi. He is not my cup of tea or should I say Gibeaga Kafes.

Thats interesting! I have been informed that you are both best of mates. In fact you dictated to him what to write.

Are your good manners just a cover? :?

You are kidding. I have had no communication with him whatsoever. You need to check the accuracy of your sources.

OK! I will not persist.

Kikapu offered you his support against my allegations and so I have no reason to persist further. Kik is a good enough and reliable source in my book anyway.

I'd rather you take my word as being true. (no offence Kiks).

You forgot the other VP and VP and VP and VP. Oh and Eric Dayi.

Deniz, send our regards to Eric will ya! How is the old codger going anyway? :)

I hope we have not forgotten anyone! :?

Paphitis,I'm hoping that Eric Dayi has dropped dead. He's a typical scummy Turk - a Hell-bound subhuman racist!

Aidan.

I agree that those particular comments would not create any interest amongst anyone. That's why I said Oracle has nothing to fear. But the computerised mechanisms could very well pick up the comments. Then humans would evaluate what was written and quickly dismiss it.

But I reckon Halil thought the comments weren't innocent enough to be dismissed. I think he did honestly believe that the comments could get Oracle in trouble. That's why he reminded her about the dangers of typing the wrong things on the net.

Anyway, that's how I see thing. How on earth could you think Halil was threatening her with Turkish SAS? Why would he? He's a TC, not a Turk. How could he? Do you think he's a powerful man with connections reaching that far?

And as far as serious threats goes... I think you're wrong when you say they're not made on a public forum. It can very well happen. If you want to communicate 'under the radar' I guess this is the way to go because most of the public stuff will be dismissed as 'the usual useless chatter' made by nut jobs and people who should 'get a life'. I'm 100% sure the information mechanisms are configured to check every corner possible of the Internet. The people behind them can't afford to miss anything that could be valuable.

Who has just described Turks as 'subhuman' ? Why none other than BC Numismatics

CopperLine,
Eric Dayi was telling me that I was a lowlife, just because I am pro-Cypriot,but anti-Turkish.

Eric Dayi is a malakas, just like the pointed-hatted Nazi gorilla called the Pope of Rome.

Eric Dayi for the last year or so would appear for few weeks and then disappear for couple of months. Few months ago he was claiming to be going to Cyprus for a visit but would not have access to Internet, and was in fact wanted to take messages to Talat and Denktash from any forum members.

At the time, I said that Eric Dayi was going back to the psychological ward in the UK for further treatment on this 10 step anger management program that he keeps retaking the first step over and over again, because he keeps flunking it, much like
Chief Inspector Charles LaRousse Dreyfus in the Pink Panther films, as we have witnessed his behaviour on the forum. I guess he is released on a "good behaviour program" from time to time into the general public, but the poor guy keeps
"falling of the wagon" each time he comes on to the forum.!!

I hope nothing bad has happened to him, despite being a despicable person and that he will get the help he needs to be cured from his anger. :D

I believe that a certain TC member may be powerful enough to have connections that reach that far. Halil is not that member. IMHO
