DILLON'S RESTAURANT and BAR - UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

Postby The Saint » Fri Aug 29, 2008 6:48 pm

I am extremely pleased to advise that DILLON'S RESTAURANT and BAR (on the Coral Bay Road - opposite The Laura Beach Hotel) is now under new ownership.

My daughter, Hannah and her fiance, Kelvin signed the contracts and lease yesterday and will be open for business during next week (when they've had a chance to get everything ready).

Open from 12:00 Midday to 12:00 midnight, food will be served up until 10pm.
Happy hour is 5-6pm

You can expect great food, good music and good company.

All are welcome, whether it's for a meal, a snack, or just a drink.

You can expect an international cuisine, including English, Italian, Greek and even Mexican. There will also be the favourites...home made pies and home made pizza.

Kelvin's Sunday lunches are legendary.

There'll be a grand opening once all is ready. Anyone coming that day will receive a voucher entitling them to 10% off their food bill the next time they visit.

Keep an eye on this post for news as to when the grand opening will be.

I agree Z4 ive lived in Pafos for three years now and can say without predudice that that resturant has changed hands at least twice correct me if im wrong just like that wooden bar fifty meters down the road has changed so many times , and you have to wonder why cant people see Cyprus is TOO EXPENSIVE, to get flights here , the euro has pushed prices up , the property crisis here and in the UK , I cant afford to socialise as I used to years ago I work and so does my partner and it stll looking after the pennies every month. There are very few resturants sucessfull here and you have to realise a lot close for months in the winter and I do believe Dillions will have to do the same. I believe and correct me if im wrong again but doesnt the Azia and the Laura close down in the winter ? . I wish everyone the very best who try to make it here and good luck to the new owners and as I advise everyone who come here DO EXTENSIVE HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU COME HERE. This place can be heaven or it can be hell , come and retire here and bring plenty of your savings with you , come here with jack shit forget it mate youl be struggling till retireing age .

Perhaps issue all members a 30% discount voucher, that would be nice!

Hi Keith

It is good to know all of the issues regarding the purchase were settled satifactorily.

BTW, watch out if Miltiades visits the restaurant, he will complain about the wine and try to sell your daughter some kitchen equipment.

Now about that 30% discount.....

Good luck Keith, as some folks mentioned a lot of places fail for one reason or another. The two previous owners had very good food. I think if you can give excellent value for money and keep the prices down the expats will flock there. It's going to be even more important once the tourons have left to keep the Islands residents coming in.
