Shipwreck mate you said the last two owners failed but their food was very good , to survive here mate it needs to be that extra special, they need the tourons mate they will not survive on locals, and I believe location is a major factor and i dont think where they are is a prime location right next to Chillingtons who are yes expensive but the food is excellent.

Boy, what great feedback. Thanks to everyone.

Cyprus is a tough market at the moment. Hannah and Kelvin ran The Lagoon (in Limnaria - opposite Alexander the Great Hotel) in Kato Paphos up until the end of July.

Anyone who went there would know that the food is second to none and that the atmosphere was also very well enjoyed.

The problem there is that it relies almost entirely on tourism.

We were negotiating to buy that restaurant but the owners wanted too much and there just wasn't enough in the deal (equipment wise) to make it worth while.

It is hoped that Dillon's will attract ex pats as well as the local tourists. We also intend to make a bit of a special atmosphere - it may kick in at the beginning of next season but we want to make it a place that's good to come to eat, drink and chill out. The plan is that the restaurant will change its name early next year to CAFE BLUE EYES...There's a clue in the name

We have invested a lot of money in it's purchase so we'll do everybting we can to make it work.

On that subject:
THE GRAND OPENING WILL BE ON FRIDAY 5th SEPTEMBER :!: :!: :!:

MIDDAY to MIDNIGHT.
:!: :!: :!:

Anyone coming to the grand opening will get a voucher for a 10% discount on their food bill on their next visit.

We are not the same as any of the previous people. Many of our staff from The Lagoon have come with us as we look after them. Happy staff make for happy customers.

If anyone is looking for work have a word with Kelvin. I can't promise anything as it's their business (I just provided the money  )

I only wish I could get to Cyprus to be there myself but we're stuck in Ipswich for the moment.

I hope many people will join Hannah and Kelvin on Friday. You won't regret it.

Thanks for your support and feedback.

Best regards
KEITH

Not scared of competition are you?

Don't worry, I won't be applying - I will be your first really awkward customer!

Shame you can't make the grand opening Z4 (or may I call you by your first name - Z?)

Still get there whan you can. The food and atmosphere will be just as good any other day.
