I went out last Sunday morning at 3am with two friends. We got a good spot not far from an old spring and waited for the doves to start flying.
Unfortunately half of the hunters in Limassol seemed to have been better informed than us and fanned out a few thousand metres away from the spring.
Nothing flew till well after first light, and then there were very few birds, some hunters packed up and left but at 9am the birds started to move. We had a few shots and I managed to get a good left and right at a pair of real twisters.
Total bag for three of us was 8 birds, all eaten in the evening.

I am not into hunting...but...

1... you are not worried about lead poisoning?
2...what about the wounded birds with a few pallets in them still flying around?
