CAR GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM - MAPS OF CYPRUS

Postby Ttomis1974 » Wed Aug 27, 2008 12:18 am

I WANT TO BUY A CAR GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM!
I HAVE FOUND ONE WITH UPDATED CYPRUS MAPS, GREEK MENU, AND GREEK FEMALE VOICE GIVING THE DRIVER INSTRUCTIONS. .
PRICE 250 EUROS.
DO YOU BELIEVE IS EXPENSIVE? I CANNOT FIND ANY OTHER CAR GPS WITH CYPRUS MAPS AND GREEK MENU-VOICE AND I DONT REALLY KNOW THE PRICES FOR SUCH ITEMS. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST?
THANKS

I suggest that you buy street maps of the towns and anywhere else you ask.

You can also find out where your going beforehand by looking at http://www.wikimapia.org/ and even add your own landmarks.

You all seem to mange without a GPS becouse your sorry a***s don't know what a GPS can do.

I use a GPS in Cyprus and I navigate better than the people born here.

Do you know ALL THE STREETS in ALL THE MAJOR CITIES? Can you drive to a specific address in a place where you've never been before? Do you know all the shortcuts and ways to avoid trafic jams?

When you drive from Nicosia to Paphos can you tell me EXACTLY at any time I ask you how much time and how many kilometers left to reach destination?

I didn't think so.

And we are the sorry arses!!!!!

The whole philosophy of Cyprus is who cares how long it will take or how many kilomtres it is!

You navigate better than the people who were born here, yeah right! Half the roads in some areas aren't even on the maps yet, so they ain't on any GPS.

I am sure it will be useful for you when you leave the country (soon, I hope).

I'll even challenge you to a race across Nicosia in the morning rush hour and we will see if your GPS can beat my local knowledge, and I wasn't born here.

Are you willing to risk 100 EUR + Petrol on a bet that I navigate better than you with a Map that knows all the roads in Cyprus? It is all about knowing your GPS and telling it exactly the navigation mode. And believe me, I know my GPS. It took me across Europe, many thousands of kms.

But I will not challange you across Nicosia, even though I know this city well. I will chalange you in Paphos or Limassol.

And by the way. I speak US English. So I meant Asses.

P.S. Whoever needs the map of Cyprus for miomap and igo, pm me. I waited too much for this map not to share with others. In fact that's why I searched in the first place threads about GPS and I found this silly arguing whether the GPS makes any sens in Cyprus or not.

I am sorry for your affliction, but we don't descriminate against people who have a speech impediment.

What is wrong with Nicosia as you know it so well and you have your fantastic GPS?
