Hansard Archives: Some interesting reading

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

"Cyprus as a pistol pointing to the heart of Turkey" , what a load of utter bullshit those lords spoke! And the sprinkling of "facts" like Greece being 700 miles away (it is 210), or that the majority was not always Greeks without saying what it was, or that the church controlled secondary education in British colonial times. This crap is preserved in Hansard for posterity!

My old man was an inspector of education during the British rule. He was a civil servant paid by the British, not the church and in all the years he worked there was never any interference from the church in his work which involved placing of teachers, school curriculum, and teacher promotions.

nikitas, you're right but you can find all sorts of other 'facts' in the archives.
