how is that fair viewpoint??? is like saying we will remove greek flags you tell your turkish troops to f off?

Some English friends on seeing it for the first time whilst visiting the Island proclaimed they are now under no illusions that "The Turks are unseemly and too tacky for Europe" :lol:

I say leave it .... we'll remove it ourselves when they're gone :D

Why are you so bothered by the flags?

They act at many levels, some of which are mentioned in the posts above. One effect they have is of underlining the insecurity that permeates the north. People who feel secure do not need to proclaim their beliefs with such kitsch symbols, nor with mass produced busts and photos of Mustafa Kemal in every square and classroom. In short what the flags are saying is "this place is not ours" a motto put into practice in other ways too. So let the flags stay. They are useful.

allow us to return home and you can have flights, you get rid of the flags we get rid of th flags, remove your troops we remove ours,

More than anything they symbolise the frightful past era the Turks cling on to ....

isent turkey going to be solving the water problem and provide water to sout and north by building from turkey to cyprus which will have more then enough for north and maybe south deliverd from turkey?

so that sounds like they plan to have recognised trnc in europe not united cy?

Seemed a simple answer to a question to me.
Then again I have a can do attitude and don't ensure failure by not trying. I don't ask why others don't do something if I'm not prepared to try it myself.
