It does not matter to whom you were replying Oracle. Only an idiot could have written the above. Abkhazia and Ossetia are not sovereign countries but parts of a sovereign country called Georgia. What Russia did is not much different to what Turkey did in Cyprus in 1974.

For this situation to have any similarities to Cyprus, Turkey would have to re-invade Cyprus and they will get their butts licked by Russia for being the US-backed Georgian equivalent.
The "TRNC" is not recognised other than as an occupied region of Cyprus! So it is nothing like Ossetia & Abkhazia.
