Guys u have issues with yourselves? First u guys decide what u want and then come and tell us too, so we know what we have to cope with.( i know i will hear ur usual slogan, is really funny cause i will start betting about it . Ur all like a cd-player that its cd has stuck.

Dont u think that this peace demonstration is good? Dont u think that is good they care about re-unification??

Or maybe , what is in all of ur minds is that u never believed in a re-united cyprus, and u still think cyprus is only for greeks and that tc have no place???

Also please answer my question, how many of u guys actually live in Cyprus????????????

Its good to say that we all want re-unification. Unfortunately up to now...demonstrations like this one did not help at all or they made things worst. Its weird when you organize such thing for peace but here it shown that the only thing we all achieved is to find another reason to argue. If you really want peace then keep organizing such things but dont come over here and insult people and argue with them about it. Do as you advice us. Post it and if we want to come we will if not, then none of those arguments will change our minds.

I live in Cyprus ... and I am not the only one around here. Does that answer your question?

The only thing that people told you, it was that you need to protest about more serious things and that you will show that you really want the re-unification. By saying I want peace....it doesnt really make a difference. Thats my humble opinion though. I might be wrong. Going out there one day and say we love each other but every day you argue with GC and you accuse them, tell them that they made mistakes, that are liars , that you dont trust them doesnt really show that you really want peace...but as Oracle said that you want a piece.

Its well known that GC dont want the Turks. What you really have to do, since you ask our opinion is to show that as well. Show them that you dont want that stupid flag on our mountains, show them that you dont want the Turkish army around you, show them that you dont want the settlers living next to you.

After the dead people we had during a protestation few years ago...I promised myself I will never participate to such demonstrations unless I feel that it will really change something. Hope your will but personally i dont really think so. Good luck though.

My understanding is that these demostration is just the idea of peace as is internationally known. Anyone neeed to understand the pshychology behind such actions and not to be taken politically. These Demostartions are demonstartions against partition. If you are interested join If not then no problem again enjoy your cofee in the cafe.

Maybe I agree that these demostartions have no effect on the outcome of talks but they show that Partition is not a solution backing our ROC claim ! thats my understanding.........

I listen to what VP and Zan say and they say that they want Turkey to rule them because they are better off than creating a new country for themselves and the rest of Cypriots. So when there are peace rallies I find that hypocritical.

end of story.

Michalis two years ago when I joint this forum I joint with a fearce support for the TC's and blasted some of the government actions at the time for not taking a positive stance to end the current status quo. Two years later with the sentence above in mind I am at a different point in my belief system and support.

We either go for one nation wher all people are equal and by this I do not mean minority groups such as the TC's get preferential treatment, but all Cypriots share all opportuntiies, resources and liberties. Anything less than that warrants for the status quo to be maintained. or partition based 18:82.

These peace demos are purely about fooling the world that Cyprus is in a better place, a place of harmony regulated under the guiding light of 40,000 Turkish troops who are here maintaining that peace. And any negotiation talks have to take account of the good peace that the Turks have imposed on this otherwise war-torn country.

Anyone who does not see that is either blind or blonde!

Light your candle for the Turkish troops to stay on Cyprus forever!

Heh. The last time I went to light a candle for Cyprus the 'TRNC' was having an airshow and a parade on the same day.
