How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Can you please now explain the significance of them to Oracle who doesn't seem to share that view?

I wouldn't, however, ever condemn the efforts of anyone who felt they were doing something rather than nothing.

Feisty, thank you for your compliment and may I say that I am a little shocked to receive it  ? since your appraisals of me would warrant far less I am sure.
Scratch the surface and you will invariably find the goods in every circumstance, which is why we find ourselves at such legions apart in the case of our [unworthy in MY opinion] friend.
It would appear that I have done a little more scratching than you in his case, perhaps the fact that you have more in common with him has blinded you to the reality of what I would consider his ultimate objectives to be.
I know you to be a person capable of sincere feelings, your past posts [other than the recent hogwash] reveal a gentler more significant leaning towards the suffering of others and is apparent in your posts regarding racism and the Islamic faith.
Cultivate those attributes and please disassociate yourself from any connivances you may become embroiled in by defending the disrespect blatantly obvious by your chosen ally in the property fiasco.
HE will drag YOU down to the same level of ignorance that embraces HIM [IMHO]

As to Oracle, I must defend what she has indicated regarding T/Cs since her comment is perfectly true, look it up for yourself.

A little scratching around Oracle might be advantageous, come to think of it, I wouldn't mind a little scratch around her myself.

No disrespect intended, just a humorous thought which crossed my mind in closure.

I can't stop thinking how unsettled the settlers may feel and how threatened about their livelyhoods they may feel as these protests and meetings with the enemy are taking place.

If you want to participate, join it. I would have.
If you don't, then don't. But, stop attacking eachother all the time (both sides).. generally all these arguments are started by the same person.. and we all know who that is; Mrs Stella Grivas.

It's a really good cause guys. It's organised by the Cyprus Peace Platform. Just give peace a chance jees.

Well said Nil!

Tess, let me explain to you a few things from a Greek Cypriot perspective, and I hope I will manage to enlighten you a bit, after so long in this forum.

1. We are not at war with the Turkish Cypriots in the first place, to want to have peace with them! The thousands of TCs crossing south every day, neither cross nor feel they do into a battle field! No one in his right senses visits hospitals for health services, or works in companies operated by his enemy, whom he feels he is at war with!

2. We are at war with Turkey -whose troops illegally occupying our country and our properties, and violate our human rights to freely enjoy both of them; and we do not want to have peace with it (Turkey,) before and unless it ends the violations of our human, social and heritage rights associated the illegal occupation of our country.

I hope you now better understand why the GCs are disinterested in general, in such a kind of absurd "peace" activities, for they are entirely missconceived and misguided! They aim at promoting "peace" with the people we are not at war with in the first place, while at the same time the perpetrator of the only war we are engaged with (Turkey,) continues to act in ways that do not naturally warrant the conditions for one to want to have peace with it.

Great post where were you in 1963 to 1974? when the shoe was on the other foot? while we were suffering not allowed to enjoy our country as "equal" citizens? where were you? why did you stay silent?

You only have yourselves to blame. I can't believe you still act like it's us with the problem!

You've turned down solutions you'd accept in an instant today, so how is that OUR fault?

TC would you like me to remind you of the 30 years of Denktash (Mr No)?
I for one would not accept the AP which was rejected by us, now or ever.

Fair enough DT, the Annan Plan may of been shit in your opinion, but had the GCs REALLY wanted to achieve a solution then perhaps a much better plan would of gone to referendum...

It is really concerning that peoples privacy has been breached on here if people take time out to find someone's name then they may also be able to go further with their actions toward that individual. Please don't devulge any personal information and please do not hurt the people that you know via this forum.

Thank you
