While I support the aspirations of TCs to live in peace and prosperity, I'd never attend one of these marches purely because it will be hijacked by extremist groups and diaspora Turks who will want to make it into an issue of existing as an independent state, purely as a provocation and a counterpoint to the GC perspective, rather than existing as a people. The 2003 marches in Lefkosa were all about TCs proclaiming their existence and voice as a people aspiring for change, this I supported. But this march just looks like it will be an opportunity for extremism.

Knowing who is organizing this rally there's no doubt who will attend. Only extremists want recognition and probably you are one of them.
