'NORTH CYPRUS EXISTS RALLY'

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby magikthrill » Wed May 11, 2005 8:05 am

If Livingston is who I'm thinking he is (The London mayor who blatantly went out and talked about the crap Israel has been pulling off) I think that most respectable politician to have ever walked the earth.

my hats off to him. who'd think that one of my idols would be a Brit!!

Yes, Ken is not afraid to stand up for what he 'believes' in - or should I say what will get him headlines - but then that is the job of every politician isn't it?

Anyone can get headlines for saying anything majorly stupid too. It takes a man with balls to say what he actually believes in. And if he didn't believe in the stuff about what he said regarding ISrael why would he risk doing so?

Let's not forget , Palestinians might be the "terrorists" in the eyes of the ignorant int'l community but it was an Israeli himself that assasintated his own prime minister because he was a "Traitor". God knows what these extremists are capable of doing to foreigners...

Well, considering this march is being organised by some idiot from a website like ATCA, I am taking it that this march is also about recognising that Turkey's invasion in 1974 was a 'peace process' like ATCA and does and also, see this march as degrading Greek people in general, ile ATCA does.

Also, this march is taking place in my neighbourhood and im not happy. Maybe we should drive past the march playin very loud music on purpose, like the Turks do to the Greeks outside church during Greek easter .

Thats all these people want, provocation, to try and cause some kind of PR stunt. It's the same as placing N. Cyprus adverts in highly populated Greek neighbourhoods...which many of its residents are refugees from 1974. What did they expect was going to happen to those adverts? There has never been any trouble between the Greek and Turkish communities in London but these people are trying to manipulate an air of tension, to prove that the two communities cant live together and push forward their argument for segregation.

Maybe a TC from this website should contact one of the members of this ATCA and ask them to explain there actions.

Come on Mainsource, this is a straightforward demonstration which TCs have a democratic right to participate in. Whether you like it or not most TCs genuinely see the Turkish intervention as the beginning of the end of their persecution at the hands of GCs.

Why shouldn't they protest in a GC neighbourhood? GCs are responsible for the embargoes and the lack of a positive outcome to the referendum. They are also behind the latest most serious breakdown of goodwill on the island with European arrest warrants being waved around and TC retauranteurs being summonsed. Not to mention the censorship of adverts for holidays in the north.

The GC side has easily had the upper hand in terms of PR/propaganda for years and you know it.

Why don't you exercise your right and organise a counter demonstration?

This is reidiculous...how many Greeks have conceded that the actions of EOKA B were totally wrong...but at the same time your asking me to respct the fact that TC see the invasion as a 'peace-process'!? These people want to go into an area where a large number of the residents have lost property because of the invasion, which the march is condoning....and you want me to respect this!?

The people behind the embargoes are Turkey, they are the ones who wanted to create an illegal state. How can you expect the GC side to recognise the 'TRNC' and allow it to have the RoC ports. Besides, we know full well the the 'TRNC' is more about Turkey than Turkish Cypriots, so dont expect GC to do anything to help Turkey, the current aggresors.

Anyway, this march is created via the blatently racist and manipulative ATCA website...and I dont want them marching through my endz...I dont care.

Yes, I would expect you to respect an expression of defiance, genuinely felt by thousands of your compatriots - who also lost much of their land in 1974!

Labelling people racists is cheap when the reality is much more complicated than that.

ok...go to www.atcanews.org and tell me that website isn't racist. The whole point of it's functioning is to degrade Greek people in what ever way they can find to do so.
