Hello Jim (CL Admin? )

A sad and sobering video but a mere microcosm of what we see throughout the planet.

Too many people! People living longer!

A very interesting comment to round off with Oracle, in the U.K. it is reported that there are now more "Over 60's" than there are "Under 18's" and that the future is indicative of an even greater difference.

So when you hear the retired generation asking the question :- "When are they going to do something for the pensioners !", they can be gently reminded that apparently something has already BEEN done !!......IMHO (well I'll be dogged !)

The Olympic authorities are now working on a new contest specifically for the older generation.

They are going to call it the "Geriatric Games" and the first event will be a "Male Only walking stick brandishing contest".

The times my old man has grabbed his when in a fury, convinces me that the Maynards will soon be the proud owners of a Gold Medal !..

forget about dogs and opinions, played out !!.

Those schweinerei who pressed and got the prohibition of Ambelopoulia hunting ought to be in this bloody film! Peyia and the fruit growing areas around it were, along with Paralimni, the main resting areas for Ambelopoulia and other birds when they traveled south in the fall and northwards in the spring. The areas should have been included in the Birds Directive as Special Protection Areas.

Those bums who exploited base sentiments and got the hunting prohibition through now are gone, they do not give a damn about the fact that there is not a single orchard ileft in Peyia or Paralimni for the birds to rest.

And the question is: how much worse than now would it have been to have controlled hunting of Ambelopoulia for profit in these areas, than what we have now? Short answer is it would have been MUCH better, because inorder to have the birds you must have the orchards and the land in pristine condition. Improvement of the countryside is one unavoidable result of management for proper natural resource utilisation. Now we have neither. We have a better hole. Enjoy it!
