You can only pay to get out of your military service if you were raised abroad or if you grew up in the TRNC, went abroad to study and worked for a number of years. Eitherway, i think with the new laws everyone has to do at least one month of basic training, theirs no getting of scott free.

Hi halil, now that you mention it my friend explained this to me when I was visiting the occupied areaslast october. I guess being a very simple GC all I know is that Turkey has been occupying my country with its army and the way some people talk in this forum, its all Turkish to me. Thank you for explaining.

So why not mix your army with our army, kiss and make up and wella we can send Turkey home packing. :) how is that for a solution. We can then return to our homes and those of you who live in GC refugee homes can get compensation and Church loand to build your own homes in the north. May be we can all be happy then.

I've been to Cyprus twice in my life and I want to go there now and live and work for a while. I have a document which entitles me to stay in TRNC for up to 90 days per year but I plan to stay for longer than that. I think the options for someone in my position are to either pay £3000, pay £1500 and complete one month military service, or complete 6 months military service. Can anybody confirm whether or not this is correct? I think I would probably complete the full 6 months service. Does anyone have any information about the service itself? I don't really know what to expect.

Mem, save your money from these crooks and save your life. You ara about to move into an area 51, full of aliens and you will be a minority amongst minorities.

Stay where you are for a better fuller life son. trust me.

you should asked this question for your self Humanist

why we the GC's didn't satisfy with İndependent Cyprus at 63 .... we brought 13 points and akritas plan ..... why tried it again in 67 ........
not satisfied and we tried it again in 15 July 74 .... what for ?
why we never cared about TC's in those years .Why we didn't asked them come TC's together with us to get rid off from this EOKA-B man .

who were they ? İ mean EOKA-B or others ....They were all GC's ...

If they were really minority (EoKA's) how they achieved to destroy everything .

before 74 every villages ,cities walls were full up with ENOSİS slogans .

where were you that time Andrea ?

from the boarders this song was playing towards to TC's enclaves ''Bekledim da Gelmedi '' ( I waited him to come but he didn't )

where were you that time Andrea ? why u never increased your voice towards them . İf you did ... we wouldn't like this Andrea ....

You wouldn't get upset from Bayrak's sayings in those days .Remember the CAFER from bayrak ....Why he was making those nationalist's comments during those days .... try to question for yourself as well .
try to understand the mistakes you did have at past .

before 60 there was a 2 aims in Cyprus .
Enosis and Taksim .

when the ROC formed this should be finished . but hungry Makarios and his Co's didn't satisfied . They tried to destroy bi_communal republic and they did ....

TC's are joining there own army just to protect them self Andrea .we have no will to attack anybody or destroy as you are trying to say .
