Still ... he is / you are doing well at promoting Leatherhead ...

Cyprus for me quickly started losing credibility when a crooked solicitor withdrew my contract from the land registry on a property when I had specifically instructed them not to, leaving the developer with £120,000 of my money. I had contracted to buy the property for £175,000. 2 weeks later the developer had back on the market for £300,000.
The developer still has my money.
I could think of many things to call the solicitor and his firm, which co-incidentally is the same one who Karayiannes was originally using.
Quite frankly, I couldn't give a sod if I lose credibilty on this forum which is frequented by a bunch of hoodlums who would appear to advocate the violence to which Conor has been subjected.

You want to moan about British youngsters getting out of hand when drunk but support Cypriot businessmen trying to kill a man. Seems there is a problem with Cypriot hoodlums to me.

So in a nutshell, you tried to capitalize on a property before it was yours, precisely the same scenario as our foul-mouthed friend.
Fortunately you did not resort to the use of obscenities in your quest for justice, hopefully you will be reimbursed.
As to your other comments, RUBBISH.

Now, how about that invitation ?.  .

I wouldn't touch you with somebody else's bargepole.
To me you are yet another foul mouthed Cypriot hoodlum.

Well my dear, at least I seem to have made an impression, one must always strive to achieve something in ANY situation. IMHO (well I'll be dogged !).

Oh yes you made an impression alright. My memory is so vivid of the way you posted last time you were on the forum that you make my skin crawl in rather the same way that Gary Glitter and people like him do.

It hurts you to conceive that I perceive the webs you weave my dear.

No you are yet another internet identity to me. Nothing more. Your posts give me the creeps.

Conor I have met, have something in common with and I support his stance. Whilst I may not use the same language he did I actually agree with his sentiments as regards the crooked Pittadjis Law Firm.

Feisty, if an ignorant fool, hoodlum and whatever else you would like to call me can determine the truth behind your intentions (and those of your apparent soulmate), one wonders what a 'Legal Eagle' will make of your stories.

Basically, he who seeks sanction beneath the stars, should not complain when the dusts of the Sahara cloud his vision.  IMHO (well I'll be dogged)

How did I try to capitalise on it? The developer sold it for £300,000 not me. I'm £120k out of pocket at the moment and the developer has had my money for 4 years earning interest on it.
I wanted to live in it.

Really ... is that your story?

How many properties have you "loopholed" your way into acquiring in Cyprus did you tell us once upon a time Feisty?

What about the one you currently have tenanted ... did you not want to live in that one?

You have already told us it is convenient for you to live in the UK as that is where your business is ... It seems to me you change your story like your men ...

Is he still around?

I haven't loopholed my way into acquiring any properties Oracle.
I quite legally purchased 4 properties, 3 of them as buy to lets and one to live in.
I haven't changed my story in any way at any time.
One of them currently has a Cypriot tenant in it who is almost 3 months in arrears with the rent, one is empty and which I am refusing to accept delivery of and the other is being let from October for 2 years.
It is convenient for me to live in the Uk at the present time and whereas 4 years ago I was of a mind to think that Cyprus was where I wished to spend my future I am no longer sure and the more I find out the more unsure I become. Possibly had I known then what I know now I wouldn't have even considered buying one property but for the present time I am rather stuck until the world markets improve.

So in pure essence it is a case of :- Property Developer v Property Speculator.

All becomes much clearer now, thank you...............Phew !!.

Absolutely not no.
The properties were purchased with absolutely no intention to sell and the one that the problem is with is the one in which I always intended to live ie a bungalow where my elderly disabled mother could also live.
Not only a hoodlum but an ignorant one at that. You presume to know about my life and intentions yet know nothing.
The other house, that is the only other property I own with more than one bedroom and therefore of any use as a home for me is rented out for 2 years at least from October so never any intention to sell.

If that were the case why did you carry out the following "loophole" ... to avoid Capital Gains Tax ... since you say you had no intention to sell and bought more than the "allowed" properties for foreign non-residents ...

Feisty wrote: only personally own one property, the other three are owned in my company name, don't quite have the registation number to hand but the company is just my full name with Ltd on the end and was set up by my solicitor simply to hold the property. Saves on capital gains tax as well as much else. If I remember rightly, and here my memory is sketchy, I am the only director and shareholder of the company. Why I say it is unclear as I'm well aware that a Ltd company in the UK has to have at least 2 directors, but have not studied Cyprus Company Law. I'd imagine that if another director were required that it would have been my mum.

Merely attempting to defend the integrity of our Cypriot Businesspeople can hardly be interpreted as a slagging match.
The matters under scrutiny could do irreparable damage to the economy of our country and the true source of the grievances seems to be greed.
I do agree that perhaps the matters should be discussed on a separate thread however and offer inexperience as an excuse for not realizing it.
I would not consider anything I have written to be particularly offensive and feel that I have been subjected to the greater amount of abuse contained in these past exchanges.
I will respect your request and search elsewhere. Ernie.

I do not wish to get involved with the whole 'Conor' scenario, sorry! (There are many threads on this already)

I did not state any instigator, merely asking that this thread be kept on track, and if you feel abused - please take that up with Admin.

Thank you for your understanding.

To get to the point of this Discussion... is not only BRITS abroad, every nation has got their holiday heroes.
Israelis gone wild lately, Brits, Russians... Everyone goes crazy on holiday due to a boring and routine life back at home.

Recently i've heard on comedy channel a British stand up comedy "F*ck it, i am on holiday..." Do you remember which comedian that was? It was just hilarious... :D

I've just logged on and also received your PM.

No I did not request the deletions and it would be out of character for me to do so ..... My last reply to you was particularly witty  and I was looking forward to your sober response today .....

But you did start with an unprovoked generally anti-female abuse which on reflection deserved a deletion ....

Seriously, the deletions are to your advantage as you were generally abusive to women, and my replies just tried to get to the bottom of the reason for such a remark ....
