shopping on Sunday

Can anyone tell me if the big shops are open in (South) Nicosia on Sundays? I know the restaraunts are but not sure about debenhams etc. Thanks!

The're shut in Paphos on Sundays (at least Debenhams is) so I would guess it's the same in Lefkosia

Tess, I have just called Debenham's in Ledras Street and they open Sunday's from 10am till 9pm! Enjoy! 8)

(The very helpful lady could only tell me about her store, so sorry, not sure of any of the others! Hope this helps!)

Shops in the Ledra Street area are allowed to open on Sundays because it is a Tourist Area (?).

Mr. Shacolas who owns Debenahams, amongst other retailers, got his politician mates to sort it this designation.

Couldn't manage it for the Mall yet.
