PEACE DEMOSTRATION

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

PEACE DEMOSTRATION

Postby halil » Wed Aug 20, 2008 8:08 pm

The Head of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Association Huseyin Celal has called on people to participate in the demonstration which is to be held on the 1st of September with the aim of giving support to the two leaders during the negotiations process.
He also said that it is not only the duty of politicians both also the Turkish Cypriot people, to turn the will for solution in North Cyprus into reality.
In a written statement today, Huseyin Celal expressed the belief that the upcoming meeting between Mr Talat and Mr Christofias will be different from previous meetings and summits held throughout the long history of the Cyprus problem.
Mr Cemal reminded that a demonstration will be held on the 1st of September World Peace Day at the Lefkosa Inonu Square at 8.30 pm.

Personally, I think people are expecting far too much from this meeting.

It as if they will come out with an immediate solution, no chance.

Regardless of anything else, we have to let Mr talat seek what approvals he needs from Turkey first, so I doubt he will able to agree much else.

Talat is the wrong man to be speaking to. We need turkey at the table, given the red lines she has already laid down, i would be surprised if we could reach a solution full stop.

This so called peace demonstartion, is a farce, its just political manouvering on the Turkish part just to try and show there will. My arse, they have had 34 years to do that and come up with jack, so now won't make ant difference whatsoever.

Good try chief shit spreader, your attempts to come across as peace loving has failed big time, we all know you and your propogander spreading. Save it.

Mr X should make 3 demands or else walk out.

1. Turkish troops out
2. All settlers out
3. No Turkey guanrantor powers

Then we have a basis for discussion, otherwise we are just doomed to be turkified. God help us all.

Those that want peace should demonstrate against the illegality of the turkish occupation, the human rights violations and the ehtnic cleansing. This is how peace can come.

Trying to blackmail and force the weak Cyprus to accept the terms of the Turkish invaders is not what can bring peace to Cyprus.

So do you think they should cancel this demonstration to support the 2 leaders?

Definately. They have no meaning and are just doing it for political reasons. They have no real desire for peace and only want to pressurise our side to give you more.

Tell them to get lost.

The only way Turks can demonstrate a Will for Peace is to get the hell out of Cyprus.

Whilst they walk all over our land, station their troops here, they are invading us and warring against us.

Turks get out of Cyprus!
