Going to Pyla to pour chalk paint on Kemal sounds a little outlandish. If there was such tendency it would manifest itself elsewhere. It has not, no matter what Bananiot says.
Now if you want to see desecrations and vandalism take a trip to any of the hundreds of churches in the north and then we talk about it. It is ridiculous to turn ablinc eye to the industry of icon stealing and antiquities dealing there and moan about some chalk paint on one of the mass produced Kemal statues.
And since the subject borders on aesthetics, can the mass production of Kemal statues please stop. By now everyone knows what he looked like. The situation passed over into the realm of kitsch a long time ago. No need for futher reminders please!
Nikita,
save your breath, its ok for them to graffiti our mountain with chalk/paint/lights and they have the cheek to complain about some shitty statue. But This is acceptable to Bananiot as I don't hear any words of protest on that front from him.
perhaps the Barbarians also learnt Turkish as well!

He was very upset at the prospect of reaching a solution in the forthcomiong talks and he was all poison for Talat and Ardogan. His name was Jaheed and he owns a lot of property in Ayios Yeorgios area and also in the Famagusta area as well.
As I said before, the rejectionists on both sides of the divide are scared stiff.

It was only turkish run businesses and property that was damaged. The turkish gold shop, the clothing shop, the supermarket owner's car with TC plates on it and of course the turkish school. Speaking to the TC kids in the village, I am pretty certain it wasn't Turks that damaged their own property. Most of the TC's and mainland Turks in that village all get along with eachother, they stick together.
