I think that 99% of TCs and Turks are racist Nazis and support this racist ethnic cleansing!! I can not tolerate such racism against us and so i hate those racist Nazis! The racist TCs / Turks please do not reply in this thread to tell us that you support the racist ethnic cleansing of north Cyprus so you can steal our lands and make it Turkish because you will fill the thread with 100s of posts and the replies from those very few nice Turks and TCs will disappear and everybody will think that all TCs and Turks are racist Nazis which is not true because I am sure almost 1% of them are not!

Perhaps you should think about it from their perspective. From what I understand, Turks regard Greeks as racists and ethnic cleansers because of Crete and the Aegean Sea, plus the territorial claims on European Turkey.
Sotos, I hate to disillusion you, but most Turks are like most Greeks: normal sane people trying to make a living. There has been too much stereotying - on both sides - which vocal minorities exploit. This - sadly - has had the current result of partition on the island of Cyprus. Blame the Turkish militants certainly, but don't omit the Greek militants either...

First, following the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, Turkey has not pursued a policy of expansionism. The borders established at Lausanne have been the borders accepted by Turkey. Turkey has expressed no territorial claims over Greece, Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, or Syria.
Second, there have been border disputes, that is to say disputes over territorial demarcation, most obviously in the Aegean. Invariably these have been the result of lack of clarity over demarcation - a common problem in maritime matters - or of disputed interpretation of demarcation rules. These disputes cannot be put down to reasons of 'expansionism'.
Third, only the question of Cyprus remains exceptional to the above. There are those (in Turkey) who insist that it was a humanitarian intervention permitted under international law and the T. of Guarantee; and there are those (in Turkey) who regard northern Cyprus as an integral part of Turkey. There are also those (in Turkey) who reject either claim. Only the second group could rightly be described as 'expansionist' but it is not a label that describes the other groups' motives.

There is a world of difference between the two .... as your frequent reference to international law makes clear. It is one thing in international law to make a land grab and another to make a 'humanitarian intervention' cf. Georgia/Russia/South Ossetia. If this difference didn't hold, why on earth didn't the Turkish government just annexe northern Cyprus and integrate it into the Republic of Turkey ?
