I would imagine that it's come about as there are many small minded people who would try to make homosexuals feel ashamed of what they are (not me) so many homosexual people have come to say they are proud of it.

In actual fact I believe that people, whatever their sexual preferences (as long as legal) should be able to be proud of being decent human beings without some bigoted members of society putting labels on them.

The only explanation that I have ever been given is:- Good As You (GAY).
By definition Homosexuals & Lesbians call normal (the majority) people Straight, which means that they admit to being bent!

Yes I quite agree with no labels; I'm normal I don't like being refered to under the 'Straight' label.

Homosexuals and Lesbians are the correct titles/descriptions.

BTW does gay refer to both Lesbians and Homosexuals?
