Most of my Uni-educated "yummy-mummy" friends seem to think it is so "working-class" to not experiment and they look down on me for not being Sapphic  But I do not just follow trends!

Homosexuals co-exist with the rest of the population here.

good to see all human beings are treated equally and with same respect as everyone else bubbles :) it takes a very advanced society not to discriminate, well done on acheiving that in Cyprus

That explains why you dislike me !!!

I do not dislike you one little bit ... whatever gave you that idea :?

I like GAY men as friends because they are like girlfriends (that don't come on to you  ... after a few glasses of wine and "my husband doesn't understand me" moans  ) ... but I love straight men 8) ..... you are in ... sock it to me! ... but you need to reign in your slightly subversive tendencies; although I know they are just an act to get the Turk/TCs to re-consider their enemy tactics on us!

Since when has wisdom become synonymous with subversion !!

I should have added 'why shouldn't they' on my last post.
As you quite rightly state humanist, we are all human beings and that is how the world should work. I am not saying that everyone lives in perfect harmony as alas, I fear that does not and will not happen - in my lifetime anyway. People will always have their prejudices, although in the main I find Cyprus a 'liberal' country. I personally have no qualms with anyone regardless of their persuasion, colour, creed etc. It would only become an issue if they (and by they I mean any human being) inflicted or (tried to inflict) harm on my family or myself. Then, they would see the full extent of my wrath :x

Me straight (need the blue pills sometimes to get that way!).

As for homosexuals in Cyprus, you need to use the local definition for males:

"receivers" are gay
"givers" are more macho than heterosexual males

Please discuss.

There was a famous court case here many years ago involving an MP and some National Guardsmen who had gone to the MP's home to "service" him.

A soldier freely admitted to giving the MP one, but when asked if the MP had reciprocated he basically said "Of course not, do you think I am queer or something?".

I think you will find this is not an uncommon attitude.
