It is a bit cloudy in Limassol now. Maybe it will rain who knows? The chances for rain increase because I washed my car today!

Don't worry Richard. After washing the car the water was absorbed by the ground and enriched the underground reserves. :D

america is a big country, we have all kinds of weather here. i prefer the northeast, here in NY, we get a full 4 seasons. july and august are the worst of it, and we have had some bad heat and lots of humidity, but the past week has been lovely. not too hot, not humid at all.
i lived in california for awhile, i didn't like the weather there at all. very little snow, and lots of heat, a rainy season like you have in winter, and in summer everything is all golden yellow and dry and parched. i prefer the cooler lush green, even if yellow is my favorite color!

When I was in the Falklands we had all 4 seasons within the space of 20 minutes.

Cyprus looks lovely in the springtime....in the summer months dry dusty and parched. I do miss the green of England...especially Dartmoor. Could always find a quiet spot there to lose oneself away from daily hassle.

That area is loaded with folklore and creepy tales. "The hairy hands....Jays Grave etc etc.."
