We messed up badly by not giving enough time for ironing out " indiscrepancies "and from day one we begun telling the world that the agreements were signed under duress and pressure mainly from Greece , ( that the agreements gave the T/Cs excessive rights with the flimsy excuse of safeguarding their rights ) who clearly wanted to wash her hands from the Cypriot "donkeys " a description often used for the Cypriot people by the disputed descendants of the ancient Greeks. Thankfully some of us , the true Cypriots , are becoming vociferous and demanding that our rights as Cypriots are considered and further more we are willing and determined to stand up and call upon the motherland fuckers to piss off and go join their respective motherlands . I do not for a second see Kikapu , Birkibrisly , Halil , Iceman and many more as my enemies because they are T/Cs . I see them as my compatriots , just as they see me as one of them , a Cypriot who can stand on his own feet and tell Greece and Turkey to get lost and let us sort our problems out .

Milty .... you are obsessed with Greece and Greeks. Stop it!

The reason we were not happy with the 1960 Constitution had nothing to do with Greeks and everything to do with the fact that it was unworkable and undemocratic.

If you cannot see that you are a lost cause ... your world stopped when you left in 1963!

...me too, i wonder what would have happened if the Communal Chamber was functional because Greek Cypriots came to sit in it.

...now will you consider why my Manifesto is worthy reading, because it is an extension, a reform if you will, of the Constitution we have from our advent in 1960. Two National Assemblies where both communities are equals, and a United Republic of Cyprus, which as a State is Sovereign to protect and defend us as Individuals, and our Individual Rights, as this island's dwellers, and together, as this island's Stewards.

RW, haven't you learnt anything from the Turks ?

Does "Mountain Turk" or "Peace Operation" ring a bell ?

Replace the word "enclave" with "oasis".

You need to buy a Thesaurus or do a course in marketing!

Firstly let me agree that the Zurich agreement was by no means perfect and of course as we now know from bitter experience , it was the best option available at the time . How many G/Cs would today decline the return of that agreement in its exact content may I ask you ? All I would say , no occupying troops and no more a Cyprus problem. The agreements were doomed to fail from day one because we the G/Cs considered them unworkable undemocratic and were prepared at all costs to bring in amendments while our signatures on the agreement was still relatively wet .The motherland nonsense was reverberating incessantly clouding our vision and creating a stenotic approach to all things logical .
In short we NEVER accepted the rights of the T/Cs to call Cyprus their own too.
Just a minor correction , I left Cyprus in 1961 , important since when I left the RoC WAS MERELY TWO YEARS OLD .

Finally , I'm not obsessed with Greece , neither am I obsessed with Turkey and my world is still continuing , faster than ever before I may add !!
