Horses

Postby lee hayes » Wed Aug 13, 2008 8:01 pm

Hi All

Does anyone know of any cyprus websites for buying horses as my wife has been looking and can not seem to find any or any other sites they may be on. Thanks for any help that can be given.

There is an equestrian centre near Peyia, I am sure they can help you locate a horse(s) to buy ...

There is a horse 'shop' as you enter TOTK on the left, coming from Coral Bay. Paphos has everything :-)

<Edited to say: I do not literally mean 'everything', your Rights are not affected; may contain nuts>

What's it like keeping horses in Cyprus? Does the grass grow enough to feed them on?

I know that the animal welfare charity known as Paphiakos in Paphos has some horses at its shelter. I am not sure if you are allowed to adopt horses, but you may wish to make enquiries. Their e-mail address is [email protected]

Thanks Tim. We are considering retiring to Cyprus but at the moment, that's a sfar as it's gone. My partner wouldn't even consider it unless she could bring her horses though. (getting them there is another issue)
