Peyia Gardens

Postby TonyC » Wed Aug 13, 2008 3:09 pm

I was wondering if there's anybody out there who's bought an apartment in the Leptos Peyia Gardens complex.

We took over ours in February and had our first proper stay there in July.

It would be nice to have some contact with any other owners and share experiences.

So far we're very satisfied with both the apartment and Leptos. The small problems we've had have been sorted out more or less the same day - except for the dud fridge which took a week to fix, but that had more to do with the repairman than Leptos...

We also like the village - not the most picturesque I've seen but nice views (walk up through the streets right at the top), plenty of facilities and very, very friendly residents. There's even a bus into Paphos a couple of times a day, and I've been offered lifts from/to Coral Bay by complete strangers several times - handy if, like me, you're not a driver.

And the pool's a dream. We've already met some of the "neighbours" taking a dip - Norwegians, French and English, I wonder how many nationalities we are all together?

So if you're a new owner in Peyia Gardens it would be great to share your thoughts.

Hi Tony,

We are also at Peia Gardens, Block A. What Block are you?
Weve also met lots of nice people and the pool is really lovely.
Have you heard the story about the barrier getting damaged?

Have you kitted your apartment out yet? Would be good to hear from ya,

Mick n Liz .

Hi Mick and Liz,
We're also in Block A (the best block of them all), number 205.
Haven't heard about the barrier being damaged, but I reckon that will be fixed next time we are in Peyia the first week in October - knock on if you're around.
As far as furniture and whatnot, the basics came from Balilica, and then we found a second-hand shop i Paphos run by a guy from Stoke on Trent. He fixed us up with some good-as-new stuff for a very reasonable price.
And of course Phillipos up by the church supplied just about everything else, from telly to can opener...
By the way, if you've got kids and need children's furniture (bunk-beds etc.), I can recommend a place in Paphos - let me know and I'll give you directions.
We've got our own taxi driver now, a guy called Kyriakos - we just ring and he turns up in his 8-seater merc to take us anywhere we want. And he even refuses tips!
Anyway, a lot of this is probably boring stuff for the rank and file on the forum, so if you want you can contact me through my private e-mail [email protected]

PS. Great with some northerners, I'm originally from Manchester, and so is the couple right across the street who've lived in Peyia permanently the last 5 years (they made the little garden next to Block A)

Looking forward to hearing from you
Tony & Merete
