How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I wished, the balance of power would then surely be changed and treacherous people like you can sod off to Turkey since you love them so much.

What an idiot!

Well, basically you voted for the Turkish army to stay in Cyprus in 2004 so if there is someone who enjoys the presence of the Turkish army is you.

I guess that basically means, that Turkey and the "trnc" will be looking at "sunrises" in the East and not "sunsets" in the West for the outcome of their future, if a Fair and Just settlement is not reached!

Bananiot seems to support a unique negotiating approach employed by Turkey- if you do not accept right now and unconditionally their offer, then the cost rises. This is below even the lowes bazaar mentality.

Instead of condemning the intransigence and dishonesty displayed by a side entering into negotiations where they obviously do not intend to make any meaningufl concessin , he blames the GC side.

You know Bananiot, till now I thought you were a peace activist. Now I know you are simply a masochist. You believe in this punishment lark. According to you now we are being "punished" for rejecting the Annan plan.

Has it ever crossed your mind that the attitude displayed by Erdogan et al now, is simply an indicator of how they would behave during the implementation of the plan? How would our voting for the plan change this "me first" attitude?

Just look at a map of the occupied north and see where Turkey has not made investments. Is there any such place? No, so according to the principle implied by Erdogan no part of the north will be returned. So what are we negotiating at these talks beginning on September 3?

Without substantial territorial adjustments we are left with legalising the occupation.

As for Famagusta, the Annan plan returned PART of the city, essentially the part south of the Dherynia road. Kato Varosi, Ayios Georgios, and surrounding areas were not to be returned.

But there is another aspect to this attitude. Erdogan and other Turkish officials have never, not even once, made any statement about the welfare of the people of Cyprus as a whole. It is always an "us first and only" approach.
